Compensation for spine injury or back injuries can be a lifeline to help rebuild independence and provide options to improve quality of lifestyle. The personal accident compensation awards for spinal cord injuries are particularly high due to the fact that a spinal cord injury can have such a huge impact on the life of the victim and the lives of the victim's dependants. Fentons Solicitors will act for any claimant on a Conditional Fee Agreement basis, thus allowing every claimant to pursue a claim with peace of mind.

Spinal injury can be horrifying for the individual involved and anyone connected with them. In Britain each day two people are paralysed from an accident that damages their spinal cord.

Spinal Injury is damage to the spinal cord that results in a loss of function such as mobility or feeling. The spinal cord does not have to be severed in order for a loss of functioning to occur. In most cases the spinal cord is intact but the damage to it results in loss of functioning. Spinal cord injury is very different from back injuries such as ruptured disks, spinal stenosis or pinched nerves. A person can break their back or neck yet not sustain a spinal cord injury if only the bones around the spinal cord (the vertebrae) are damaged but the spinal cord is not affected. In these situations, the individual may not experience paralysis after the bones are stabilized.

The most common causes of spinal injury are road traffic accidents, domestic and industrial accidents, sporting accidents, viral infections and medical injury and assault.

If you think you have a case or require further assistance with your back or spinal injury claim why not fill in the claims questionnaire.
